How to Send a Broadcast Campaign

Broadcasts let you reach many opted-in contacts at once using approved WhatsApp templates (or the message path your campaign flow allows). Here's how it works in Wadwin.
1. Create a campaign
- Open Campaigns → New campaign.
- Give it a clear name and pick the WhatsApp number that will send it. That number must be the one connected to the templates you plan to use.
The builder is step-based: details → message → recipients → review. You can leave a draft and come back — Wadwin can restore unsaved work from the draft banner when applicable.
2. Choose the message
- Select an approved template from Meta, or follow the flow for custom message content where the product allows it for your window and policy.
- Fill in template variables exactly as Meta defined them — wrong placeholders fail at send time.
If you're outside the 24-hour session window, templates are the compliant path for outbound promotional or utility content.
3. Choose recipients
Recipient selection supports segments such as:
- All contacts (subject to your filters and exclusions),
- By client role (tags/roles you've set on contacts),
- Inactive contacts (e.g. no recent activity — pick the time window in the UI).
You can also exclude specific contacts from an otherwise broad audience — useful for compliance lists or people who opted out.
4. Schedule or send
Pick schedule with a future time, or send when ready. Scheduled campaigns show as scheduled until Meta starts processing; then you'll see states like running, completed, or failed depending on outcome.
5. Read delivery status
On the campaign detail view, Wadwin surfaces counts such as sent and delivered so you can see how the run performed. Meta may also pause or throttle sends in edge cases — the UI reflects paused by Meta when that happens.
Compliance — keep it boring (in a good way)
- Only message people who've opted in to WhatsApp from your business.
- Match the template category to what you're actually sending (marketing vs utility vs authentication).
- Honour opt-outs and regional rules — Wadwin helps you target lists; legal compliance is still on your team.
